Prayer Points from Pastor Donnel McLean & Consider RJC

Please consider "Reaching Japanese for Christ"

Pastor Donnel McLean's Prayer Points

1.  Pray for discouraged missionaries who are just hanging in there faithfully but are not really expecting anything great!  There may be some even considering moving elsewhere for ministry; let's pray they won't but will be renewed in their expectation for Japan.

2.  Pray for the Japan Evangelical Missionary Association (JEMA) which is the fellowship of evangelical denominations and missions. a.)  Pray they will be moved to commit to mobilizing to take the Good News to every town, village and person by coming up with a strategy for each to do a specific area. There are 118 Christian organizations (denominations, missions) and close to 1700 missionaries---all apart from the national churches.  I've been trying to inspire, encourage and challenge them to come up with a plan to reach all without fail.  b.) Pray that there will be a prayer movement where churches and missions, too, mobilize for days of prayer in obedience to God's command in Joel.  I've written JEMA sharing my heart and I hope---His heart!

3.  Pray for older pastors, now a big majority in the nation as young people are not entering the ministry.  It is tragic that the doors of some churches are being closed because there are not enough young ministers to step in and take over.  Let's believe for the Moses anointing so that even pastors in their seventies and eighties will continue pastoring with even greater vision and anointing.

4.  Pray for Japan's youth, many of whom are losing much hope as they face an uncertain future.  Pray that pastors and evangelists will be mightily anointed to fully preach the Gospel and Christ's call to "deny themselves (their plans) and take up their cross and follow Christ!"  Oh, that many hear His call and respond.

5.  Pray that God will raise up some powerfully anointed Japanese ministers to be like Charles Finney and be instruments in His hands to bring about an awakening.

6.  Pray for Dawn Burkner who has a vision to mobilize missions and individuals with the sole commitment to go to every village with the Good News.  Her email is dawndy1@hotmail.com  Pray for great success and response by both missionaries and nationals to catch the vision, too.

7.  Pray for a prayer burden to sweep across the nation moving every church to heed God's command to unite in days of prayer with fasting.  I sent a letter to JEMA and also JAG sharing this burden and vital challenge.  Pray that Japanese Christians will believe that what He is doing in China He will do in Japan, too.  That's His heart but they (missionaries, too) must come to grips with the realization that our part---fasting and praying---is a vital, essential part of the equation!  If we don't do our part then the revival will never come! Oh, for the Church, missionaries and nationals, "get it"!

8.  Remember our Japanese fellow Christians, many of whom need to enter into total commitment to Christ and that many will become soul winners, on fire for God.  Very often many get discouraged and depressed because of seeing so little change, so little growth.  Oh, for every member to get on fire for the Lord.

9.  Very often only one member of the family comes to Christ which means they usually have extreme opposition; therefore they need encouragement and strength to stand true and not give in to even their family's pleas to recant.  It is really hard.  Pray other Christians will reach out to these and encourage them.

10.  Pray that in the current extreme crisis churches and Christians will be especially led to be strong witnesses and to help in various ways.  Oh, that many have real opportunities to share the message of hope we have in Christ.  Many lost loved ones and are in deep need of someone to come alongside with the message of hope we have in Christ.
